A little about me...

Pink is my favourite colour because it represents positivity, confidence and warmth, qualities that I value and try to bring into every day.

What is one of the most important things you should know about us? That’s easy: our fabulous teams! Pure and simple.
Dedicated to being the best that a family could ask for, our team are constantly developing themselves through our training program run by childcare and EYFS experts.
It is not just our little ones who are the passionate lifelong learners here at Kindred! It’s all a testament to their love of what they do, and what makes Kindred the incredible, loving place that it is.

DAY IN THE LIFE

Day in the Life

Drop Off

Our doors open from 07:00, where you and your little one will be greeted by a member of our friendly team who will strive to ensure that the transition from home to nursery is a smooth and happy one. Wave ‘see you soon!’ to your child in the knowledge that they will be safe, well cared for and having endless amounts of fun as they settle in for the day ahead.

Breakfast

Our children start their day off correctly with a healthy range of options to choose from, such as cereals, fruit and toast for breakfast from 07:00. For weaning babies at all mealtimes, a specially curated weaning menu is prepared by our trained chef and can be mashed, chopped or pureed depending on your child's individual needs.

Morning

Fuelled with a yummy breakfast, children enjoy a range of enrichment activities, adult-led learning linked to focus topics and child-led play experiences. From loose parts exploration and sensory activities to creative arts, imaginative role play and cosy reading corners, there is truly something for every child to enjoy. Outdoor play also forms an important part of the morning, allowing children to build confidence, develop physical skills and explore through active play. A healthy snack is available from 10:00 to keep everyone energised throughout their busy morning.

Lunch

From 11:30, we enjoy lunch, freshly prepared by our on-site chef. Mealtimes provide a wonderful opportunity to socialise with friends, develop independence and explore a variety of flavours and textures. Our seasonal menus offer plenty of choice and are carefully adapted to accommodate individual dietary requirements and preferences.

Nap Time

Following lunch, our younger children can enjoy a well-earned nap or quiet time. For our little sleepers, we create a calm and comforting atmosphere using soft lighting, soothing music and cosy bedding to support rest and relaxation. Children who are not sleeping can enjoy quiet indoor activities, stories and gentle play, helping to create a peaceful transition into the afternoon.

Afternoon

Children continue their learning journey through a balance of indoor and outdoor experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity and independence. Whether exploring open-ended resources, engaging in imaginative play or enjoying active time outdoors, every afternoon offers opportunities for discovery and development.

Snack

To keep little ones fuelled and ready for all the awe and wonder their days hold, we offer a healthy mid-afternoon snack, including fresh fruit and vegetables alongside other nutritious options. From 15:30, our children enjoy a delicious evening meal before settling into a relaxed period of child-led play, giving them time to unwind and enjoy activities of their own choosing.

Home

As the day draws to a close, children enjoy relaxed play with their friends before being collected throughout the evening. Families are kept up to date through Satchel during the day, and at collection time your child's key person will share highlights of their learning, achievements and wellbeing, along with any important information. Nursery closes at 18:00, when we wave our final goodbyes and wish everyone a safe journey home.

This is just an example day that the nursery follows, each day is subject to variation depending on activities and the needs of the children.

FAQs

FAQs

What are the designated parking and access arrangements for drop-off and pick-up at your nursery?

We offer convenient and accessible parking options to make drop-off and pick-up as easy as possible for all families. You can use the on-street parking available directly outside the nursery, which does not require a permit. Additionally, we have our own private car park, which is shared with the neighbouring youth center, providing ample space for everyone during drop-off and pick-up times.

How does your nursery prepare my child for the transition to school?

We maintain strong relationships with local schools to ensure a smooth and confident transition for every child. At the end of the summer term, we hold transition meetings with receiving schools to share key information and ensure a seamless handover. We work in close partnership with the Local Authority to coordinate and support the entire transition process, making sure it's as successful as possible for all children.

What are the staff-to-child ratios at your nursery?

Our staff-to-child ratios strictly adhere to UK regulations to ensure a safe, secure, and nurturing environment.
Our regulated ratios are as follows:
Babies (Under 2 years): 1 staff member to every 3 children (1:3)
Toddlers (2-3 years): 1 staff member to every 5 children (1:5)
Preschoolers (3-4 years): 1 staff member to every 8 children (1:8)

How do the settling in sessions at your nursery work?

We offer a structured series of three sessions to ensure a smooth transition. During the initial session you will stay with your child to fill out their All About Me booklet.
This is followed by two drop off sessions where you will leave your child so they can practice separation begin building and familiarise themselves with the nursery routine.
If your child requires more sessions than the typical three, we are more than happy to accommodate this.

Does your nursery have links with any local family hubs?

We are proud to have a strong partnership with the local Hainault Children's Centre located next door to our nursery. This close collaboration allows us to provide enhanced support and resources to our families.

Reviews for Kindred Hainault

"All the staff members who take care of my daughter are amazing and the nursery worker who showed us around! Shes been so unsettled but the workers are so patient with her and doing so well in helping her overcome her new experience. The manager is very helpful and supportive, I can't thank them enough so far for everything they are doing. I would highly recommend this nursery! They have lots of activities and toys for the children and nice garden space. A good choice of breakfast snack and lunches. Really good nursery very clean and good staff members!"

" The staff here have enabled my child to thrive in their early years! I feel highly confident that my child is well looked after by the team and has great relationships with the staff in his room. As well as the staff, the menu is nutritious and thought about, they bring in phonics and baking as extras as well as a trip from the zoo, and the outdoor play areas are terrific! I am always able to contact and discuss anything with the staff, and they send regular updates. I particularly like the end of term reports to help know how my child is getting on overall. I am so pleased with this nursery laying a great foundation for my child in their first years."

M G

“The management team are excellent-always informative, approachable, and highly professional. Communication is clear, and they do a fantastic job when settling children in. What has impressed me most is how flexible and understanding the nursery has been with my son. Rather than expecting him to adapt to a rigid environment, they have taken the time to understand his individual needs and adapted their approach to help him thrive. This level of care, patience, and commitment has made a huge difference to both my son and our family. The staff are warm, supportive, and always willing to go the extra mile. I feel reassured knowing my son is in a safe, nurturing environment where he is valued as an individual.”
